Rules question · Rule 7.2 · Hard
Found a ball without my mark: when does it count as mine?
Your ball has no identifying mark. Exactly where it should be, you find a ball of the same brand, model, number and condition. There is no other such ball nearby. Does it count as yours?
Answer
Yes, this is a way to identify your ball
You may identify your ball in three ways: someone sees it come to rest, you see your identifying mark, or you find a ball of the same brand, model, number and condition where your ball is expected to be. The third way does not apply if an identical ball is in the same area and you cannot tell which one is yours.
