Uncovered my ball in a bunker: how must I re-create the lie?
Your ball has disappeared completely in the sand of a bunker. You carefully brush sand away, find your ball and then re-create the lie, but leave a small part of the ball visible. What is the ruling?
Answer
No penalty, this is expressly allowed
You may move sand to find or identify your ball. Afterwards you must re-create the original lie. If the ball was covered by sand, you may leave a small part of it visible. If you play without re-creating the lie, you get the general penalty.
