Play is suspended: can I lift my ball?
Play is suspended while your ball lies in the middle of the fairway. May you take it with you?
Answer
Yes, you mark the spot and lift it, and replace it when play resumes
When you stop play on a hole, you may mark the spot and lift your ball. Before or when play resumes, you replace it or another ball on that spot. If you left it there and it was moved in the meantime, for example by the wind, you also replace it.
