Can I remove loose branches in a penalty area?
Your ball lies on dry ground in a penalty area with a loose branch right next to it. May you remove the branch?
Answer
Yes, without penalty
Since 2019 you may remove loose impediments anywhere, including in a penalty area. If your ball moves while you do so, however, you get one penalty stroke.
