Removed a sticker from the clubface before playing: is there a penalty?
On the driving range you put an impact sticker on the face of your driver to see where you strike the ball. On the first tee you notice it before your stroke and peel it off. What is the ruling?
Answer
No penalty, you may use the driver
Merely carrying a club with a non-permissible sticker on the face costs nothing. Only making a stroke with it is prohibited. If you peel the sticker off first, you may use the club without penalty. If you make a stroke with the sticker on, you are disqualified.
