Topped tee shot still in the teeing area: can I tee it up again?
You top your tee shot and the ball stops a yard away, still inside the teeing area. What may you do?

Re-tee it without penalty, but the first stroke counts
If your ball is still in the teeing area after a stroke, you may lift it and re-tee it anywhere in the teeing area without penalty. The topped stroke still counts, so you are playing your second shot.
