When is a ball on the putting green?
When is your ball on the putting green under the Rules?
Answer
When part of it touches the putting green and it does not also touch a bunker or a penalty area
A ball is on the putting green as soon as any part of it touches the putting green, even if the rest is on the fringe. You may then mark, lift and clean it. But if it also touches a bunker or a penalty area, it is treated as lying there, and you may not simply lift it.
