Played a wrong ball: what is the penalty in stroke play?
In stroke play you accidentally play another player’s ball. What is the penalty?
Answer
Two penalty strokes
Playing a wrong ball in stroke play costs the general penalty of two strokes. Strokes with the wrong ball do not count, and you must continue with your own ball.
