Agreed to concede putts in stroke play: what happens?

In stroke play, you agree with another player that you will concede each other putts within a club-length. You both know that you must hole out in stroke play. On the first putting green, the third player in your group insists, and you hole out after all. What is the ruling?

Answer

You are both disqualified

If players agree to ignore a Rule or penalty they know applies, they are disqualified once any of them has started the round. This applies even if they never act on the agreement. Only an agreement cancelled before the round is without penalty.
