Rules question · Rule 2.3 · Medium
An integral object is in my way: do I get relief?
The Committee has defined a stone wall as an integral object. It interferes with your swing. What may you do?
Answer
Play the ball as it lies or take unplayable ball relief for one penalty stroke
Integral objects are artificial objects the Committee has defined as part of the challenge of playing the course. There is no free relief from them. Your only options are to play the ball as it lies or to treat it as unplayable.
