Practice swing touches the sand in a bunker: what is the penalty?
Your ball is in a bunker. During your practice swing the club brushes the sand. What is the ruling?
Answer
Two penalty strokes
With your club you must not touch the sand in the bunker in a practice swing, in your backswing or right in front of or behind the ball. That is two penalty strokes, however far you are from the ball. You may, however, dig your feet into the sand.
