Second shot out of bounds: what now?
Your second shot from the fairway goes out of bounds. How do you continue if no Local Rule says otherwise?
Answer
You drop at the spot of your last stroke and play your 4th stroke
For a ball out of bounds you take stroke-and-distance relief: you go back to where you made your last stroke, drop there and add one penalty stroke. Two strokes plus one penalty stroke, so your next one is your 4th. You may only tee the ball if your last stroke was from the teeing area.
