Stableford: another player stops my ball: is there a penalty?

In a Stableford competition, you need this putt for one point. It rolls well past the hole and cannot go in any more. Another player deliberately stops it. What is the ruling?

Answer

No penalty for the other player, and you get zero points for the hole

If someone deliberately stops a ball that would need to be holed for one point but has no reasonable chance of going in, the hole is over. There is no penalty, and you get zero points. In ordinary stroke play stopping the ball would have been a breach.
