Stopped my opponent’s ball to concede the putt: is that allowed?
In match play, your opponent’s putt rolls just past the hole and keeps rolling slowly. You stop it with your putter and say: “The next one’s good.” What is the ruling?
Answer
That is allowed, and your opponent’s next stroke is conceded
You may stop or knock away your opponent’s ball in motion if you do so specifically to concede the next stroke and there is no reasonable chance the ball can be holed. If it could still have gone in, this would not be allowed.
