Rules question · Hard
Unmarked water: is it a penalty area?
A ditch with water on the course is marked neither with stakes nor with lines. How is it treated?
Answer
As a red penalty area
Every body of water on the course is a penalty area, even if it is not marked. If the Committee has not set a colour, it is treated as red, so lateral relief is available too.
