Can I zoom in on a green-reading map on my phone?
You have a permitted putting green map as an app on your phone. On the putting green you zoom in with two fingers to see the slope around the hole better. What is the ruling?
Answer
Two penalty strokes because you magnified the map
Putting green maps are only allowed up to a scale of 1:480, and you must not magnify them, in an app either. The only magnification allowed is your normal prescription glasses. An app that suggests a line of play is also prohibited.
