My ball hits another player: is there a penalty?
Your shot accidentally hits another player on the leg and comes to rest on the fairway. What is the ruling?
Answer
No penalty, you play the ball as it lies
If your ball accidentally hits a person, whether another player or a spectator, there is no penalty. You play the ball from where it comes to rest. You only replay a stroke when you putt on the putting green and the ball hits a person or an animal.
