Putt hits the opponent’s ball: what is the ruling in match play?

In match play you putt on the putting green and hit your opponent’s ball, which is also on the putting green. What is the ruling?

Answer

No penalty: play your ball as it lies, and your opponent’s ball is replaced

The penalty for a putt that hits another ball on the putting green applies only in stroke play. In match play there is no penalty. You play your ball from where it comes to rest, and your opponent’s ball is replaced on its original spot.
