Is there a penalty if my own ball hits me?
You play from the rough. Your ball rebounds off a tree and hits you on the leg. What is the ruling?
Answer
No penalty, you play the ball as it lies
If your ball hits you, your caddie or your equipment, there has been no penalty since 2019. You play the ball from where it comes to rest. Until 2018 this cost one penalty stroke.
