Ball stuck in a tree: what can I do?
Your ball is stuck high up in a tree. You can clearly identify it by your marking, but you cannot reach it. What may you do, among other options?
Answer
Declare it unplayable and, for one penalty stroke, drop within two club-lengths of the spot on the ground directly below the ball
A ball in a tree is not lost if you can identify it. You may declare it unplayable. For lateral relief, measure the two club-lengths from the spot on the ground directly below the ball. You may use another ball. If you cannot identify the ball, it is lost.
