Support post of a boundary fence in my way: do I get free relief?
An out-of-bounds fence is held up by angled supports on the course side. One of them interferes with your swing. The Committee has not said anything about them. What is the ruling?
Answer
Free relief: the angled support is an immovable obstruction
The fence and its posts are boundary objects, so there is no relief from them. Angled supports are not boundary objects, though. The part on the course is an immovable obstruction, and you get free relief. The Committee may, however, declare the supports integral objects. Then there is no relief.
