Dropped ball hits my shoe before the ground: what now?
When you drop, the ball hits your shoe in the air before it touches the ground. What is the ruling?
Answer
It was not dropped correctly, drop again without penalty
A dropped ball must not touch you or your equipment before it hits the ground. If it does, the drop was not made correctly and you drop again without penalty. If it accidentally touches you only after hitting the ground, the drop counts.
