Rules question · Rule 14.1a · Hard

Can I mark my ball with a club?

You have no ball-marker with you. You hold your club on the ground right behind the ball and lift the ball. Is that a correct way to mark it?

Answer

Yes, that is allowed

There are two ways to mark the spot: with a ball-marker, or by holding a club on the ground right behind or right next to the ball. Any artificial object, such as a tee or a coin, counts as a ball-marker.
