Another player leaves a footprint by my ball in a bunker: what can I do?
Your ball is in a bunker. After it has come to rest, another player steps into the bunker and leaves a deep footprint right next to your ball, exactly where you want to stand. What is the ruling?
Answer
You may smooth the footprint and restore the original conditions without penalty
If another person or an animal worsens your conditions after your ball has come to rest, you may restore the original conditions as nearly as possible. If the conditions were worsened by you, your caddie or the wind, you must play them as they are.
