Can I repair spike marks on the putting green?
There is a spike mark on your line of play on the putting green. May you repair it?
Answer
Yes, without penalty
Since 2019 you may repair damage on the putting green no matter who caused it: ball-marks, spike marks and other shoe damage, scrapes from equipment or animal tracks. You may not repair natural surface imperfections or marks from normal maintenance such as aeration holes. Off the putting green you may not repair such damage if it improves the conditions affecting your stroke.
