Ball breaks into pieces after a stroke: what now?
When you tee off, your ball breaks into pieces. What is the ruling?
Answer
The stroke does not count, you play another ball from the teeing area without penalty
If your ball breaks into pieces after a stroke, the stroke does not count and there is no penalty. You play another ball from where that stroke was made, so after a tee shot from the teeing area again. If the ball is only cut or cracked, the stroke counts.
