Ball drops in after the waiting time: what is the ruling?
Your ball overhangs the lip of the hole. You wait the ten seconds, then it drops in after all. What is the ruling?
Answer
Holed with the previous stroke, plus one penalty stroke
If the ball falls in after the waiting time, it is holed with the previous stroke, but you add one penalty stroke. The result is the same as if you had tapped it in.
