Ball lost in ground under repair: what now?
Everyone saw your ball roll into an area of ground under repair with long grass. You do not find it. What is the ruling?
Answer
Free relief, measured from where the ball last crossed the edge of the area
If it is known or virtually certain that the ball is in an abnormal course condition, you get free relief even without finding it. The spot of the ball is taken to be where it last crossed the edge of the condition.
