Puddle on my line on the putting green: do I get relief?
Your ball is on the putting green with a puddle between it and the hole. What is the ruling?
Answer
Free relief: place the ball at the nearest point where the puddle is no longer on your line, even off the putting green if necessary
On the putting green your line of play also counts as interference. You get free relief from temporary water on it. You place the ball at the nearest point of complete relief, not nearer the hole. That point may also be off the putting green.
