A spectator gives me unasked tips: is there a penalty?
A spectator calls out, without being asked, that you should aim your putt further left. What is the ruling?
Answer
No penalty, but if they carry on you must try to stop them
If you get advice without asking for it, there is no penalty. But if the same person keeps giving you advice, you must try to stop them. If you do not, you are treated as asking for advice and get two penalty strokes.
