Sprinkler head on my line of play: do I get relief?
Your ball lies on the fairway just short of the putting green. On the fringe a sprinkler head is right on your line of play, but it does not affect your lie, stance or swing. Do you get relief?
Answer
No, unless a Local Rule expressly allows it
Off the putting green, the line of play does not count as interference. You get relief only if the obstruction affects your lie, stance or swing. Many clubs still give relief from sprinkler heads near the putting green by Local Rule.
