Wasps’ nest next to my ball: do I get relief?
Your ball lies in the rough right next to a ground wasps’ nest with wasps buzzing around it. What is the ruling?
Answer
You may take free relief
If a dangerous animal such as wasps, bees or venomous snakes could seriously injure you, you may take free relief: within one club-length of the nearest point where the danger no longer exists, not nearer the hole. This does not apply to thorns, nettles or cacti.
