Snake next to my ball in a penalty area: what can I do?
Your ball lies playable in a red penalty area, with an adder lying right next to it. What may you do?
Answer
Drop without penalty inside the penalty area, or with one penalty stroke outside it
With a dangerous animal you may take free relief in a penalty area too, but only inside the penalty area. Alternatively, you take penalty area relief for one penalty stroke. If there is a dangerous animal there as well, you may take relief again without further penalty.
