Rules question · Rule 4.3a · Easy
Can I measure the wind or check the weather during a round?
Which of these is allowed during a competition round?
Answer
Checking the weather forecast on your phone
You may get weather information from a forecast at any time, including about wind. But measuring the wind speed on the course itself is not allowed, nor is using a device to measure the slope of the putting green. That is the general penalty.
