Agreed on the wrong match score: what now?

In match play, after the 9th hole you mistakenly agree that you are 2 up. In fact you are 1 up. You only notice on the 12th hole. What is the ruling?

Answer

The wrong match score now stands, and you remain one hole further ahead

You may correct a wrong match score before either of you plays from the next teeing area. After that, the wrong score becomes the actual match score. It is different only if a ruling is requested in time and it turns out that the opponent gave a wrong number of strokes or failed to tell of a penalty.
