Put a stone under my foot and removed it again: is there a penalty?
On a slope you put a loose stone under your foot to stand more securely. Before you play, you remember that this is not allowed and take the stone away again. What is the ruling?
Answer
No penalty
Moving a loose object into position to build a stance is prohibited. If you remove it before the stroke, the improvement is eliminated and there is no penalty. If you play with the stone under your foot, it is two penalty strokes.
