Can I wipe dew off my line of play?
Early in the morning there is dew on the fairway. You wipe it off your line of play right in front of the ball with your towel. What is the ruling?
Answer
Two penalty strokes
You must not remove dew, frost or water if this improves the conditions affecting your stroke. They are not loose impediments. Only in the teeing area you are playing from is removing them allowed.
