How big is the relief area for cart path relief?
You take free relief from a cart path. How big is your relief area?
Answer
One club-length from the nearest point of complete relief, not nearer the hole
For free relief in the general area, the relief area is one club-length, measured from the nearest point of complete relief. It must not be nearer the hole. Two club-lengths apply, for example, to lateral relief with a penalty.
